Activities/Events/Conference: Les usages de la géomatique

This event brought together geographers, teachers and educators and organisations from France who use Geographical Information Systems in their teaching. Members from the French Ministry of Education also participated in the conference.

The conference was co-sponsored by HERODOT and organised by HERODOT partners from Educ-Tice (INRP) together with the Pedagogical Inspection Service of the academy in Lyon.

The HERODOT coordinator presented the role of the network and then the European benchmark statement for GIS in schools which it created in 2008. The conference was also an opportunity to disseminate the Geocube and EUROGEO.
